Enemies in Super Mario World

Does anyone know the number of different enemeies in Super Mario World? My roommate was boasting that there were around 30-32 enemies in the X-Box game Otogi and I said I bet there are more in Super Mario World. Anyone have an idea? Preferably with proof.

Maybe, maybe not. If you include all of the variations of koopa troopa, goomba, etc.. possibly.

I remember including variants and bosses, there are more than 50 types of enemies in SMW.

Sorry, I can't list them. Perhaps you can try some Mario fansites, they might have pictures to all of them for prove.

The game actually cycles through all the different types of enemies in the ending, and I'm fairly sure it's at LEAST 30. Maybe I'll check tonight... hahaha, I haven't played that game in years.

is that I actually remember having counted all of them back then... XD with the dream of stumping some guy on a video-gameshow where he took questions from the audience and if he couldn't answer gave them free games/systems... unfortunately I don't recall what the number was.
