One could have wished for a test using something other than just wmv9 (quite possibly a best case scenario), but nonetheless this is actually something which could make me go for ATi.

As it was taking me about 1.5 hrs to transcode 2 hours of video for a DVD (tho I have a slowish cpu at this point --P4 2.8) using Nero, it certainly looks nice to me. Tho I understand from MaximumPC and the ATI guys over at Hexus that it could be as late as February before we see this enabled in MMC. Tho some of the third party tools should be able to use it in December.
