BTW, the Oktoberfest is starting in Munich these week, has anyone been there ?

No, but they got posters up all over wetherspoons pubs (like a chain of pubs found in every town, a bit like mcdonalds but with alchol and REAL food)

maybe my tastebuds are just screwed up or something but the only thing i can taste in beer is the carbonation. so, to me, plain carbonates, La Croix water, and beer all taste exactly the same.

oh yeah, and I can taste caffeine which is supposedly impossible. it's slightly bitter, but quite enjoyable.
