Considerately Killing Me - Short Movie

Hi,

This short movie was made by someone I know. I thought it was interesting and have decided to post it here(with his permission of course).

I have to brag a little: I won the award for Best Short Film in the Newcomers Category at the Apollo Film Festival in Victoria West this past weekend for my short film Considerately Killing Me. Other winners include Darrel James Roodt (Sarafina; Yesterday; Faith's Corner) and Francois Verster (When The War Is Over; The Lion's Trail; The Mother's House) so I am very proud to have shared the stage with these guys who are huge names in the local industry.

The film has previously won awards for Best Short Film (CityVarsity Awards) and Best Sound & Music (UCT Golden Pigeon Awards) and it was also part of the official selection at the final Commonwealth Film Festival in Manchester this year. I have just received confirmation that the film will be screened at the Sithengi (The Cape Town World Cinema Festival) which takes place between the 14th till the 21st of November this year, so hopefully some of you out there will make the effort to support our local film industry and culture and try to attend one of these screenings. It is a huge honour and great accomplishment for me to have it screened in a cinema complex (I think it'll be at the Cinema Nouveau @ the V&A - that's where it was last year) and I hope that I can share my story with some of you.
