Codecs problems i think, watching a movie .. help !

Hello all.

I have the same problems on 2 different movies .. i can watch them and the sound is ok but everything is GREEN !!! ... like 80% of the screen is green and with some big squares following the movements of the movies ..

I use..

Gspot ( to see wich codecs are needed ) i have the required Codecs
Divx Pro 5.5.1 Codecs
Xvid Codecs
ffdshow Codecs

( I tried nimo codecs pack too but didnt work .. so i did a system restore.. i dont want 259294 codecs for nothing. )

Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.

Oops forgot the most important .. i can watch the movie correctly in the DivX Player .. but not in Media Player .. and i want to use the Media Player to watch the movies on my TV.

Any idea why the DivX player use the correct codecs and not the Media Player and how to fix that ?

I had the same problem when I used the xvid codec that came with Nimo. After uninstalling Nimo and reinstalling Xvid codec (a version from 24.02.2003) it worked fine for me.

same here. removing everything and installing only ffdshow works wonders for me.
