CD ROM problem

Hello.I have a real bad cd-rom issue-whateva game I play my cd-rom says "Please insert the correct CD-ROM,select OK and restart application".
This happens with ,Homeworld2,Freelancer,CC Generals-all those games are not real(if you know what I mean).NFSHP2 runs good, but it used to give the same message.
Help me please!!!

Try disabling DMA on your CDROM. If that doesn't work, try tracking down the no-CD patches for these games - if they solve the problem, then this means it is the publisher's copy protection that is causing your drive to fail to work, and the usual recomendation is to upgrade to a newer drive in the hope they can read these out-of-spec protected discs.

Edit: I've just noticed that you say these games are "not real". If by this you mean they are copies, then that's why you see this message. The copy protection in these games only allows you to run from original discs, not copies.
