Went to see this tonight in the theater. It has to be the most funny movie I've seen in a very very long time. Everyone was laughing in the theater and it was just down right funny. If you're in a group that can be offended then be ready for it. Lucikly the theater is in a very liberal college town so everyone was in to it and got the great humor.

Extremely recommended!

I want to dislike Borat just because he's so insanely popular right now, but his appearance on the Daily Show last night absolutely slayed me.

I still think he's just the post cold war Yackov Smirnoff, but he's still funny as hell.

Its extremely funny though! Yes, the Borat chacter is going to become extremely popular, but I think the real gem of this movie will not be realized till the dust settles. It contains a lot of social commentary but its just soaked in humor that you're laughing your ass off so much that you have to think about what you're laughing. Be it the "southern" dinner table party, or the racist rodeo guy, etc.

BTW, Cohen has been doing the Borat chacter for around six year now.

Once again, its a must see, well worth any hassle or cost the theater provides.

Saw it last night.

I went in with high hopes and was not disappointed.

And yes, there is some deep social commentary in there too (not that I think too many people will bother with it).

Borat and his producer escaping from the "kidnapping" (the bed and breakfast) FTW!

I laughed during the whole movie, and think it was hilarious. Although I thought that the Borat character is a lot less suitable in situations where people know he's not "real" like during his promotional tour.

The movie is fantastic!

Movie was amazing. The only thing that sucked was nobody knew wtf i was talking about when I started singing "Throw the jew down the well". Kind of depressing seeing something you dearly enjoyed gobbled by the masses who know nothing of its history.

Throw trends down the well.

There was an interesting interview with Cohen in one of the UK newspapers recently where, recalling his studies of history at University, he pointed out that the majority of the Germany pre-WW2 was not so much anti-semetic but simply apathetic to the mistreatment by Nazis. Apparently, this is what he was attempting to demonstrate in one scene in the movie (which I'm yet to see, I might add).

the scene with the christians chanting, that freaked me out.
those rednecks are scary man.

there was a miiltary man together, what an insight heh?

I doubt that, Cohen will likely never do anything with Borat again. Ali G's "Final act" so to speak was the film. (Well apart from the cash in Final American series)

Bruno will be his focus now, apparently Universal have already signed Cohen up to make a movie based on him.

Not sure where in my post I'd said he was going to do another movie with Borat. I just stated that he has been doing the Borat character for a good while now.

my moustache is still smelling like your ass
haha that scene with his producer naked on top of each other (in 69) fighting, damn that was horrible disturbing yet funny! hahaha
