I kinda feel compelled to give a nod to DLC for one of my picks for the GOTY title for 2012. Battlefield 3's Close Quarters was, and still is, outstanding. Also, Torchlight 2, Mists of Pandaria, and Far Cry 3 all make my list of best games of 2012. The year was stricken with a lot of disappointments, as well. Namely Guild Wars 2, which initially was great fun, but I hit a wall and the game became incredibly boring. Also, Diablo 3 certainly wasn't worth the wait.

Gonna give The Walking Dead a vote. Not really an adventure game fan but boy did this suck me in.

Alan Wake as well. Not a "new" game of course, but damn did they do the PC port well, and although somewhat repetitive I really enjoyed it.

Far Cry 3 - Loved this game. Has some of the best stealth mechanics I have seen.Plus visually it looks fantastic

Hmm..mine are here. Rage, Crysis 2, Fifa 2012, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 ,Dishonored and the final my best game Need for Speed Most Wanted 2012.
