Ati ring bus

Can one of you please tell me the differance between ATI ring bus and XDR2 and don't say Rambus.

Thanks I am fully aware of the Ring bus Arch. Do you have a link that show me the same type of view and info on the Rambus XDR@ arch.

Thanks for the links. Now I have even bigger question . It seems that the ATI ring bus memory controller has taken a page out of the Rambus book . More granituity. I wonder if ati could get their ring bus memory controller to work with XDR memory. I know that rambus also has a memoery controller for this memory. If I remember it correctly its called X10 memory controller not sure though. Anyone know ? Than I could do a search and perhaps see how this controller is laid out.

Well I found it . Its called Flex10 and kinda looks like the Ring bus is better but the big Question . Will it work with XDR ram? If it does holy moly baby

The ring bus is internal and XDR is external so there's probably no reason you couldn't have both.
