Apple TV with NVidia Goforce 7300

Actually, it's a Geforce, not a Goforce.
And yes, i think i heard the rumour about a G72 in an Apple product sometime ago.
Just didn't think it would end up in a set-top box.

This might even facilitate a future update/product refresh, as the G72 is apparently pin-compatible with the G86, and the Intel 945PM is compatible with Core Duo/Core 2 Duo CPU's (currently running an old "Dothan" Pentium M, so they say).

Sure does say GO on the chip and the numbers would say so too...

That's because mobile versions are called "Geforce Go 7300"

And the photo is clear:

"Goforce" is a chip used in mobile phones, nothing to do with PC components (which is basically what this set-top box is, a simple PC).

The funny thing is that this simple "Apple TV" now has a much more powerful graphics processor than the Mac Mini or the Macbook. :D
