Another new Sony firmware for BDP-S300

This one v3.20 (old one was 2.60).

I wonder if it will reduce the total load time of Rise of the Silver Surfer to less than 3 minutes? Oh, dream on, Geo. . .

Edit: Hey, it did make a positive difference. From cold boot with the disc in to anti-piracy warning, on the old firmware it was 3:50 for Rise of the Silver Surfer. On the new firmware, it's only 3:25. So if it's on already, cut 50 seconds off that and it's a "mere" 2:35.

Do you have the timmings for other BDs?
Very strange behavior.

I started my BD collection recentelly and it has only three discs: Casino Royale, Memoirs of a Geisha, Disturbia. With the PS3 80GB it loads fast, just a few seconds. Never really measured it.

The PS3 is tons more powerful than the standalone players. The standalones have performance issues when using advanced BD-J content and such.
