This so misrepresents reality.
 
The term "President" has been used by literally hundreds of governments, both democratic and not, (in fact, probably significantly more of the latter). It's a title, like King, or Czar, or Emperor, or Senator, or Prime Minister, and while all may have their roots within certain governments, that hardly makes them exclusives to them.
