Sub-standard chemicals got into production, over 10 000 (up to 30 000 according to TPU) wafers scrapped + lines shut down.
Affected customers include at least NVIDIA, MediaTek and Huawei (HiSilicon)

Aren't the PS4 and XBone SoCs affected? Are those are made at a different Fab?

Regardless, these news couldn't come at a better time, really.

nVidia is apparently still trying to sell Pascal stock while competing with the 2nd-hand market and Turing sales are falling short of expectations.
On the smartphone side, companies have been declaring slower sales with customers taking much longer to upgrade, so I'm guessing these weren't really starved for SoC volume either.
