PowerVR Series 5XT and 6 would mop the floor with the Voodoo2 in the fill-rates alone... geometry processing and setup as well, as much as the memory bandwidth permits.

This makes it seem like HW costs led to failure, but even so, I'm not sure if their deal would have been that significantly cheaper (relative to PVR) that it'd change everything around.
