360's tricore vs Core 2 Duo

I was wondering what were the main differences beetween the 360's tricore PPC and a core2duo (i'm not really tech savvy, so I'd need some explanations on OOOE and its impact on game related performances).
I've tried and searched the issue on b3d, but the threads were quite difficult to understand...
