21" CRT monitor recommendations?

I really need a new monitor. I'm using an El Crappo 19" Samsung at the moment (replacement for the Sony that died in a buzzsaw-like fury), and I think I'm going to hold off on the LCD bandwagon, at least for the moment. But, this means I need a new monitor. 21" would be nice, but I really don't know the first thing about 21" monitors. Basically, there's one requirement: it must do 1600x1200 at at least 75Hz.

So, anyone have any good or bad experiences with particular models? Brands? Places to buy?

Iiyama. The old version of their 22", which I'm using at the moment, does 16x12 at 100Hz (it might even be 120Hz). They are also very cheap and great in all other respects. The newer one is definitely better, too.

Reviews of the new Iiyama (or at least the one I think you're talking about--the Vision Master Pro 514?) are pretty poor. Sure, it's got insane refresh rates, but apparently it doesn't look that good.

Anybody here use Viewsonic monitors? How are they? The P220F supports 2048x1536x70Hz, so... yeah. That's really tempting, and it apparently costs around $550-600... And then there's the P225F, which has an .24 grill throughout. Decisions, decisions.

Well, i have a samsung 1100DF ( 21 ), i like it, it can do 2048x1536 at 75 hz, but the image quality above the 1600x1200 in this monitor is not good.

I use 1600x1200 at 85 hertz and i like it.

Before i bought this monitor, i did a lot of research ( 1 year ago ) and if i had the money i would have bought a mitsubishi monitor, samsung 1200 NF, or a viewsonic.

The mistsubishi (22) or the samsung 1200NF (22) that uses the perfect flat screen are very good.

dont the prices now, but 1 year ago they were expensive, like 700-1000 euros

I have the 510, and I've seen the 512, and they both seem very good at 85Hz. The picture quality does definitely drop at refresh stupid.

Both the NEC and Mitsubishi models (which are in actuality the same monitors just different brand name) in PC-Engines post are excellent. Sony's 21" GDP520 is also an excellent choice (Sony only makes 21" tubes now).

Frankly one of those 3 would be my only choice were I too go with a standard CRT.
