0.13-micron based NV25's on the way?

I saw an interview with one of NVIDIA's marketing directors, and this particular question sparked my interest...

Q: Is United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) certain to be Nvidia’s second foundry partner?

A: To ensure a sufficient capacity supply, Nvidia has indeed been searching for a second foundry partner. All the foundries, including UMC, are possible candidates for future cooperation. As our new NV25 core-based GeForce4 Ti series chips have started being manufactured on the 0.13-micron process, whether the foundry partner’s 0.13-micron fabrication process is able to pass Nvidia’s verification will be key to the company’s final decision.

If thats true I wonder if a clock increase is ont he way as well, and I guess it could help cut costs..

Possibly, but unless ATI or Matrox really turns on the heat I can't see 'em releasing a new product before August/September. It could, as you said, reduce costs, and increase overclockability, at the very least.
