Kingdom Come: Deliverance II [XBSX|S, PC, PS5]

anyone else get flickering vegetation when it rains? its very unsettling, makes me think my eyes or monitor is broken
I got flivering at treeliens in the distant, rain or no rain.
Does the water look okay if you turn off SSR? I'm hoping there's some kind of fallback since I despise SSR.
I avoid water like the plauge in the game

I ride besides water, I look the other way 🤷‍♂️
I approach water, I avoid looking in that direction 🤷‍♂️

It a disgrace to have so big artifacts in a game in 2025 :runaway:
RT would solve that in a heartbeat :yep2:

I love creative solutions 😆

I 100% support filing bug reports about this.

I keep comparing it to the Witcher 3...they nailed it even before they added RT.
They used current technology to the limit.
This game, well I am lost for words.
Who the *bleep* did Q.A on this, I cannot remember the last time I ahd to bad rendering artifact in a game?!
Hell, even FarCry (the original one) did water and reflection better :runaway:

maybe they will do a remastered version or a director's cut with RT if they want money or
hopefully they will do it as a free upgrade

What about missing shadows, especially indoors?

It looks like even the day 1 patch comes with incomplete shadow rendering.

My support ticket about the atrocious SSR refelctions in water has been forwarded to the delevpoment team.
I was VERY blunt in my ticket and did also proclaim that the problem would be solved if the used RT and I asked who the *bleeeep* did Q.A. on that part :nope:

I really wish this game had hardware RT as it would look fantastic with it - SVOGI is fine, but not fine grain enough for most stuff... and as mentioned, the lack of shadows at times and the poor reflection quality is very noticable.
yeah just removing the ssr when near water would probably be a good stop-gap because its like looking at ghosts while walking along a path with foliage between you and the water

Yup, It is so ugly to observe and kills the immersion ASAP.
People saying that "graphics doesn't matter, gameplay is more important" need to be slapped with a wet newspaper 🗞️

Surely by now you have put your persuasive powers to work and contacted Warhorse about it?

There is a small issue with my workaround.
Was riding close to lake, looking the other way.
Sudden Henry was knocked of the horse, because he encountered a low hanging branch

So getting knocked off your horse when hitting your head into something is a thing in this game, lesson learned :runaway:

wonder if anyone can see any difference between ultra and experimental here
Yes, once you notice the differences it is fairly obvious but that is comparing stills.

Render distance for vegetation is higher as well as sharpness. The same goes for shadows at longer distances.
