Sony PlayStation 5 Pro

You either have supremely excellent hearing or you really failed the fan lottery with yours. I have to put my ear next to it to hear when it's running, it's a slight woosh. While certainly not bothersome, my 3060 is noticeably 'louder', and it's prob the quietest GPU under load I've owned in the past 5 years.
Yeah, I suspect both are at large. The fan is from a bad batch and I do have excellent hearing 😅

I was actually considering replacing it but I am not willing to pay more than a good quiet 140mm Noctua fan and a 3D printed mount for it.

Update:

After further inspection some of it may be of my own doing 😂 But it is a Foxconn fan ... so that doesn't help.

Amd will kill me if i am right but... it looks like ps5pro GPU is RDNA4 based. Can some engineer confirm it?

And PSSR is FSR4 i think.

Only the RT cores are based off of RDNA4 from what's been said publically. Everything else is an amalgamation of RDNA to RDNA3.5 and Sony custom.

The RT is presumably from RDNA 4. Cerny referred to it as future AMD tech. The rest seems to be RDNA 2 for easier dev usage.

I don’t expect PSSR to be rebranded as FSR 4 though.

Can we get a summary of that? Sounds like click bait to me and I don't want to give it views if its just shovelling sh1t.
That's some cringe fanboy YouTuber if I have ever seen one. There is no interesting info in that video, just a developer "interview" where he says that ai is important for future developments. Then he says that he talked to other developers at GDC and "what PSSR can truly do... 🤯" ok bud, I'm sure they told you.

Solid link to the Star Wars update there, but regarding the above quote, I don't think there was any question that PSSR will be updated, or that games can have their version of PSSR updated.

Question here seems to be whether this Youtuber has any specific insider knowledge about version numbers and release timings of the PSSR roadmap, or whether they just put "PSSR 2" in the title because clickb8. As in:
