This is basically me trying to justify a 4090 over a 4070 or 4060 xD
Not quite the same as the gap between a 4090 and 4070/4060 is much larger than PS5 to Pro.

Yeah, I suspect both are at large. The fan is from a bad batch and I do have excellent hearingYou either have supremely excellent hearing or you really failed the fan lottery with yours. I have to put my ear next to it to hear when it's running, it's a slight woosh. While certainly not bothersome, my 3060 is noticeably 'louder', and it's prob the quietest GPU under load I've owned in the past 5 years.
The gap is extremely small without PSSR. I thought Sony would aim for at last a 100% improvement, but all we got was at best 45%. From my perspective, that's too little. Not quite the same as the gap between a 4090 and 4070/4060 is much larger than PS5 to Pro.
Only the RT cores are based off of RDNA4 from what's been said publically. Everything else is an amalgamation of RDNA to RDNA3.5 and Sony custom.Amd will kill me if i am right but... it looks like ps5pro GPU is RNDA4 based. Can some engineer confirm it?
The RT is presumably from RDNA 4. Cerny referred to it as future AMD tech. The rest seems to be RDNA 2 for easier dev usage.Amd will kill me if i am right but... it looks like ps5pro GPU is RDNA4 based. Can some engineer confirm it?
And PSSR is FSR4 i think.

That's some cringe fanboy YouTuber if I have ever seen one. There is no interesting info in that video, just a developer "interview" where he says that ai is important for future developments. Then he says that he talked to other developers at GDC and "what PSSR can truly do... " ok bud, I'm sure they told you.Can we get a summary of that? Sounds like click bait to me and I don't want to give it views if its just shovelling sh1t.
