Haha, yeah. I've been playing Bethesda games since Daggerfall, so I fully expect each release to contain a number of interesting bugs and glitches :D I remember the final patch for Daggerfall actually included a quick key combination for teleporting you back to the last known "safe" location...

Bethesda games are very strange in that each individual system in them is kind of bad or broken, but together they form some kind of playable or even compelling whole. Probably they have secretly discovered some kind of digital drug which they slip into their code, some kind of software cocain...

Graphics look very detailed, but lightning seems rather flat. A conscious choice to make it more cartoon-like?

Replaying SS2 as we speak. I think a fully modded SS2 works pretty well, mostly because the original (and mode enhanced) textures were pretty clean to begin with. It would be great if we could get an enhanced edition, but it still works well enough to play imo.

If you hold down the R2 button, you will pick up speed and run. The developers accidentally left that out of the instructions and settings.

Just tried the Unreal Tournament pre-alpha. There's no aliasing... at all... All other games look like a crawling mess after this. *Ok, maybe there is, but their AA is very effective!

I think I played Diablo 2 around 90% online, on bnet, so this was exactly how things worked. And it was ok. Annoying when it happens, yes, but those incidents didn't occur that often. Having to be online when playing Diablo 3 is no problem at all for me.

Yup. Upgraded to a 5870 and thus had enough power to run at least 4x MSAA. Problem gone. :)

Replying to myself here. It seems that without any AA you get the nasty dithering on distant (and not so distant objects). Guess I'll dial down some other goodies for AA...

Looking at people's screenshots of this game, I have to ask about something. When objects fade in the distance, are they supposed to do it with a very simple dithering effect, or is it supposed to be transparency involved. I've started noticing trees becoming very obviously dithered before...
