Swedish military lion gets the snip after women troops protest

The proud lion of Sweden's Nordic Battlegroup's coat of arms has been emasculated because a group of female soldiers lodged a complaint with the European Court of Justice.

Christian Braunstein, from the Tradition Commission of the Swedish Army, said: "We were forced to cut the lion's willy off with the aid of a computer."

Although the army was happy to make the changes in the interests of gender equality, the artist who designed the insignia was less than pleased.

"A heraldic lion is a powerful and stately figure with its genitalia intact and I cannot approve an edited image.

"The army lacks knowledge about heraldry. Once upon a time coats of arms containing lions without genitalia were given to those who betrayed the Crown." Vladimir Sagerlund told the Göteborgs-Posten.

I don't know about all that heraldry stuff but I just want the lion to have a penis lol. yes I realize the dailymail is an English gossip site.

Anyway, this is just another example of trying to be political correct but instead making a total fool out of yourself. +/- half of the living animals has a penis so what is wrong penises? You know what, those girls all have to get short hair, their breasts should be pressed to their chests as tight as possible so you cant see them, cant wear makeup, cant make themselves look female. That offends me, I want gender equality!

Honestly, this entire ordeal is too funny for me to get outraged over. Mainly the fact that whoever designed the insignia for that Coat of Arms, apparently went into battle with a raging hardon. But I can't help but be reminded of that situation some time ago where feminists wanted the dress removed from the ladies room sign, because apparently not all women wear dresses. And apparently claiming otherwise is somehow offensive, as if the sign depicted a woman in a thong bikini picking up a penny off the floor of an ice skating rink while John Cena sprayed her with "Coors Light."

I think its time to reverse the whole feminism thing anyway. Woman always want more rights, but last time I checked I couldnt get 4 months of paid leave because I was pregnant. Now hows that for gender equality?

well that kind of makes sense for the kid. if the mother and father worked at the same employer, I'm sure they could work out a deal where the father stays home for a while instead of the mother. I'm sure there'd be no problem to the employer if both of them did the same job.

In Estonia man can take childs leave instead of his wife but only after the kid has born. IIRC it was up to around 1.5 years and the pay was quite decent.
