It's gorgeous but supposedly very buggy. I'm on the fence about buying now or waiting.

Substitute X Rebirth for Battlefield 4 as well.

These guys don't ship finished products. X2 was horrible for about 6 months. As in it would crash like crazy, had performance problems, bugs, broken things, etc. They worked hard and put out a bunch of patches and eventually it was pretty good. X3 was not as unstable initially IIRC but it was disappointing in its design and they re-released it in overhauled form (Terran Conflict).

WTF is wrong with PC Gaming these days?
Pretty much every game I've bought in last several years launched grossly incomplete with Devs having to issue much appologies & patching like mad to bring the game up to something like promised specs.
It seems that Publishers have been pushing for hard Release dates, shipping that day completely uncaring whether the game is actually in a vaguely playable state or not.
I mean it was annoying when Release dates slipped 6mths or more but I'd rather they Release a completed product later than this bullshit of releasing incomplete bug riddled broken games
...
Anyways, I was always tempted by X series but never managed to get into it so spectacular looking visuals & promise of more user friendly interface got me to buy this.
Haven't really got far with laggy fps, low quality close up textures & some campaign bugs, kinda waiting for some patches to fix stuff now.
I really hope I can manage to get into it & build an epic empire or something.
Anyone notice considerable visual/contextual similarities with Iwar2?

The X series would really benefit from the ability of playing in several screens at the same time, even if it meant playing in windowed mode. When a player starts having his own fleeting, doing all the management while piloting a ship in a single screen can result in some headaches.
