This morning upon booting my laptop was stuck in an update cycle that completely locked up the machine. When it eventually did finish, there was an update that I had neither been notified about nor given my permission to install, "KB970158 MS Kernal-Mode Driver Framework 1.9"
There is no such entry in the KB and the first 100 webhits all seem to be clones of the same guy's message board post without a real answer.
What is this crap, why does it install without my authorization and should I roll back to get rid of it?? Halp!
System is Vista32 Home Premium, Windows Updates are on 'notify' only.
