That doesn't sound good for Microsoft if indies are indeed moving away from XBLA.

It doesn't sound good for all 3 console vendors. However, does the survey article tell us what specifically the developers are unhappy about ? Sometimes, the platform owners may have good (longer term) reasons to enforce a policy.

EDIT: They can price the iOS games differently (use different business model). e.g., Plants vs Zombies is free for PS+ members.

In this "survey" we have to note that it come from a dev not happy with the sells and blame M$ for this (before analyze if it's not his game that not suit the market target, xbox users). And don't have the list of devs and the games they made give no real total importance for this survey. It's just a opinion of some devs, is interesting.
Look at one of his recommend, all xboxs can be dev kit… all right I'm in. But price of Dev Kit PS3 are far more high than 360. So my thinking that he's not speak about PSN but iOs and Androïd market to target.

The only conclusion, of this opinion, is some games don't suit to xbox use of gaming… And probably these games will got the same sells level on PS3. And iOs and Android are a better place for these, or PC. ;)

It's definitely a rather slanted viewpoint, but I think there's more to glean from it than some games don't suit XBox. The rating of developers on ease of working with is a relevant point. It may be that the console companies will never be as easy as the likes of iOS because they have a more hands-on approach to protect the standards of their library, but doesn't mean a console company can get away with being 'excruciating' to work with, especially if other consoles can offer a 'so-so' experience.
