thestreet.com Allard hints at price?

It would've been easier if you had just quoted the important part instead of making me read 3 pages of crap.
Q: How much is the Xbox 360 going to cost?

Not sure. It's probably about two months away before we make the decision on that.

Q: The last Xbox went out at about $300 initially. Will the 360 be priced higher, lower?

It's going to be in the neighborhood.

Allard is incapable of answering a question straight - I don't know what pleasure he derives from leaving all sorts of mystery in the air, but I'd be so much happier with just a 'I can't talk about that right now,' rather than all his 'wink wink, nod noding.'

"No comment" = no news

"wink wink, nod nod" = anxious fansites and game sites cover it with "what if?" possibilities

I mean, look at Nintendo. Their "No comment" stance on a lot of things makes them boring to many. I am actually surprised he said anything, considering the price is not going to be firmly set until what, Augest?

Look at it this way . He says it will be around the xbox price . This does two things , gives us a price range and assures us its not going to be insanly expensive. It does all this with out locking them into a price

Can we, for once, have a price that isn't $200 or $300? I think Genesis launched at $180, lets have 360 at $280!
