The General Handheld thread

I'd figure I'd make one, considering it's own forums have beed removed.

So what's in your handheld? After a week of puzzle solving with Professor Layton, I was thinking of making room for Apollo Justice, but since I've already had my fill of Phoenix Wright, I might as well invest in the upcoming shmup and tech driven Nanostray 2, which definately shows what Shin'En could do on a handheld.

I've been playing some Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins which priced down to 15 euro, and it indeed is tough as nails. Then I played the Patapon demo, which is very interesting - I still would probably prefer a LocoRoco 2, but this is very charming and interesting too - demo is too short though. I just finished it once, so I still have to replay it with the bonus sword. I think I'll get this game, though if indeed it's full price here as opposed to half price in the US, then I'll import it from somewhere instead I think.

And of course I still download and play a lot of podcasts, mostly 1up but sometimes I throw in a Player One or something similar to mix it up. ;) (it's great to have a podcast while doing manual labor - in my case, building a kitchen)

Picked up Crash 3 when it hit PSN 2 weeks ago - definitely worth six bucks. Played the Patapon demo through twice, very fun, took me about an hour each time. I think the EU demo is shorter than the U.S. demo, plus I played the hunting stage and the horn mini game a few times before each mission to build up my troops, so it seemed quite long to me. Anxiously awaiting it's release and GOW a few weeks from now. Thank god for my PSP, haven't picked up a new game for my PS3 since November and don't really have anything on my radar anytime soon. I'm considering buying MHF2.

I just downloaded some more demos for PSP, Xyanide had slipped below my radar completely, even though it's by Playlogic, which I think is a company from over here. It's ... interesting. I'm not sure I think it's great, but I like it anyway - build-up of enemies seems a bit chaotic, unplanned, but I do see some potential here for the future of shoot-em-ups (haven't tried that Squeenix one on 360 though).

Also tried the Wipeout Pulse demo, which seems quite good - smooth, and the track layouts are much more promising for sure. Have to try it some more.

And I'm now downloading the God of War demo off the US store. Will be interesting!
