tax return time: 4850X2 or GTX 285?

Card arrived today. Surprised UPS delivered on time for once.

This thing's a beast! Can't wait to install it tomorrow night after work and my g/f's daughter's bday party.
 
Card's installed.

Cons:
-GPU ROP/TMU domain and shader domains don't o/c at all (need better cooling/more voltage)

Pros:
-so damn fast it doesn't need to be o/c'd :D
-memory hits 1350(2700) w/o signs of corruption
-Farcry 2 maxed out w/4xAA @ 1080P DX10 = gorgeous, and not a dropped frame in sight
-WIC is finally playable maxed out w/same settings
-max. temp only 78 degrees during artifact testing w/ATITool and 65% fan speed via RivaTuner

still have to test Stalker and Crysis (+ expansions), will relay results when I have them
 
Crysis results:
all settings: very high
1080P
4xAA
POM rather than AF

same thing as FC2 - not a dropped frame in sight

I don't imagine it's running @ 60hz though as Crysis' motion blur makes even 30hz smooth
 
Damn that's impressive considering my GTX260 can't even consistently do Very High at 1440x900 with no AA.
 
I'm surprised too. Didn't expect this in Crysis. I do run my E8400 @ 4GHz though (8x500) with 4GB ram in-sync with the FSB and under Vista 64.
