I took my time, and got stuck at a part or two.

I did a lot of the sidequests though. Not all of them (I never figured out what to do in the cat town..) but a lot.

It took me 70+ hours to finish the game, and I didn't finish all of the sidequests for sure. It might be because of my habit to explore every room/path in a village/dungeon, and talk to every single NPC i meet... twice.

Well, it may be that when I get stuck at a place for an hour or so, I head off to a walkthrough. Though I only did this twice for this game, well, that may have reduced it. It may also help that I read fast (I read faster than the fastest text speed).
