SW1313: Why are people so convinced this game is film quality?

All,

I've seen several footage of this game. It has a lot of great artistic textures (shadows seems to be baked into a lot of the textures) giving it that 'photoreal' look. But aside from that and the FX (easily using PhysX), I'm not quite sure why people are convinced this game (which uses the old UE3 engine) blows everything done today out of the water.

Does UE3 really do prebaked shadows? I'm not sure there'd be much point/benefit in that, since it realtime shadows quite effectively these days.
