Silent Hill 2

So far, I have only seen a few glitches where the monster leg things get stuck in the same spot. Other than that, the game hasn't gone and crashed on me yet.

Currently in the labyrinth, having seen Maria in the cell. But I swear. This entire freaking game is just one rat maze after another. I died so many times, even playing on the lightest mode. Every creature can kill you in just four or so hits.

These monsters don't screw around. You have to give props to Bloober Team, too. Konami gave them the keys to the kingdom. Even Capcom cannot do a remake as good as them, as while some stuff in RE is similar to the original titles, so much has been cut from the new versions. Here, it doesn't really feel that way.

There was just some minor changes. Like in the part where Laura and Eddie are speaking before James walks in on Eddie, did they forget this was in the bowling alley? It didn't particularly matter. But I did wonder about this scene.

I finished it last night. I got the "Leave" ending. Maria was the last boss. 😈

Those monsters that hang on the metal are called Mandarins. But I think I will just stick to the little oranges. 😅 🍊

Looking forward to news on the upcoming movie and the other games.

Glancing at the trailer for Townfall, I could see the camera positioned behind someone. This may mean it will be in third person. But right now, there's no way to know for sure.

Also, I reckon Bloober Team will work on DLC for SH2.

I started playing the game just now. The graphics are great, but during the cutscenes the hair are too noisy in performance mode. So I kept the quality. So e stuttering exist though in the cut scenez

The uncanny valley of the faces in some cut scenes is off putting. The facial expressions didnt receive the same care in all cut scenes to be honest. There was something about the PS2 version cut scene faces that just worked better. They invoked more believability and looked more interesting. Angela's face is downright weird. The specific cut scene were James meets Angela for the first time just doesn't have the same effect as the original.

Another thing which is probably a bug and the patch I am downloading might fix, is the fact that if you run for a certain period, you can hear James puffing. But if you turn the camera to his face, he doesn't do anything. He has a still face and closed mouth. In addition if I remember correctly, in the original game if James got tired, he got slower? Or is it something I don't remember correctly?

The game needs film grain at least as an option, swirling interactive fog and thicker fog too. It just vanishes in a certain proximity of the character. In the original the fog was realistically persistent and interacted with the character. These missing elements are losing some of the original game's brilliant atmosphere

Other than that the environments are awesome and James under the right conditions looks impressive.

I wish the character faces resembled better those of the original game
