If the specs are accurate, this design seems to be blessed with extra headroom on the high end, as well as dark end. So that would suggest it should cope with lit rooms better than the typical LCD panel, as well. Naturally, you won't get the full spec HDR, since as soon as you move from anything other than a severely pitch black room, that eats directly into the CR spec. So I guess you can call this a versatile design (if you got the cash). ;)

Now finding material to really put this display to use is a whole other question (as it simply doesn't exist in consumer source formats, currently). So what's left is simply processing existing material to expand over a greater CR, which isn't exactly an ideal scenario (from a purity, fidelity of signal standpoint).
