PSA: If your phone fingerprint scanner is very hot, there's probably a short circuit. quickly remove it, clean the contacts/socket, and plug it back

i was lucky i noticed it and now it works fine again.

googling around, people that keeps ignoring the overheating fingerprint scanner results in fingerprint scanner need to be rplaced, and in one case i've read, it also need mainboard replacement.
