PS3 Update to 1.31

Gamespot has a report about the update, but they don't know what it does.

Anyone here have any idea?

The Japanese Update site says it's for FF11 compatibility (Users will need to download an additional package -- PS2 System Data ? -- from Playstation Store after the update).

Note that the Japanese release notes may not list all changes (In 1.30, they only made a partial list).

i believe it supports now hardddisk suported games under ps2 emulation. and some minor stuff (fixes?) maybe.

great, i had somebody at home, came over to buy 2 PS3's and i wanted to demonstrate him the psn store and stuff... I had to download (15minutes! ) the firmware upgrade before i could do anything else...
