PS3 dual video output?

The thing I was looking forward the most to with PS3 was the dual HDMI ports, hoping to be able to play GT and other racing games on 2 TV-set/monitors and not splitscreen. It really sucks they have scrapped the second HDMI, but do you think it will still be able to output different video to the HDMI and the ordinary video out?

If it will be possible - will games support it?

Thanks!

It seems there is no more dual HDMI, Ken went with the latest spec HDMI, so it seems the dual legacy support from G70 aren't up to the task. So they went with external chip. That's why the 20GB pack has no HDMI. The reason they went with the latest spec HDMI escape me, because I've not seen it in action yet. I heard it went from 12 bit to 16 bit, but I am not up to date with the latest HDMI. If someone can give the rundown on this thing it would be great.

Anyway they did demo that F1 game, outputing the side mirror into a PSP. So maybe you can connect 2 PSPs for the two side mirrors. :) And still able to play using wheels.

But I do hope GT5 supports link up, so you can hook up 3 PS3 for that 3 screens surround gaming experience. It would be good if other games (especially racing and flight sims) support that kind of link up too. :)
