Looks like nVidia's new 30.40 Professional Drivers gives a serious boost to performance in SPEC View Perf 7.

Here's a quote :
Here really is where we expected a massive fight for both cards to maintain pole position and the new Wildcat VP to be maintaining the lead. However, from out of the blue, NVIDIA’s Quadro 4 750XGL slam dunks pole position through and through in all areas of this extreme test. In some areas we see a significant jump in performance from the previous tests against the Wildcat VP760 when it was first launched. These new professional drivers for the Quadro 4 cards will be available soon to all.

What are the positions on the slider for the VP 10 drivers again? One end was texturing performance, the other triangle throughput (my memory is hazy)? Where is it at default? Where was it for that "review"? This would seem to be a big thing for the 3dmark testing at the very least.

What were the other settings? Do they produce the same images? For instance, I really have no idea what each has for defaults for things like line AA, and what effect that would have on those benchmarks. I assume the Quadro drivers are still highly accurate (compared to game drivers), but this article didn't seem to take anything at all like this into account.

Well, they don't claim to be a high quality review site, but I just find it frustrating that I have to wait forever and a day to find benchmarks that are at all useful in any real sense, and in the meantime I sift through mounds of thrown together benchmarks that don't make anything clear. It has been so bad recently that I almost miss when it was only one or two inconsistencies or omissions that frustrated me.

Didnt any websites learn from the Det4 fiasco?
Dont use drivers for review that consumers cant download!
Damn, i hate this crap!
