I never heard of Qix until I released this, but many people who saw the pics commented that it remindds them of it. Anyway, here's what urchin from the ps2dev forums had to say about it:

Gameplay looks a bit like Qix/Zolyx from the screenshots. I'm looking forward to trying it out tonight.

I've just tried it now, and it's sufficiently different from Qix so as to completely confuse me! Got it sussed eventually though

So, I guess it's still at least somewhat original
