Wife is already complaining about the price, but I will get one
A part of the price will be offset by selling my 4090, something people forget to factor in.
And after getting one, I will start setting funds aside for the 6090, spreding the load out over 2 years make the impact so small it hardly registers.

While it being more expensive than 4090 sounds inevitable I really doubt that the price will actually be $3300.
These pre launch pricing rumors are almost never correct.
I agree, but no matter the price it will not stop people never wanting to buy a 5090 to post online and "cry" over the price
All I care for is the increase in performance over the 4090.
I think scalping is more a US problem than an eg. EU problem.
I had never had issues getting a GPU en EU, most sites in eg. Denmark limits how many cards a customer can buy at launch and have effective que systems.
The 30 series launch had a little wait (but no more than 3 weeks), the 40 series I got same week as I ordered.
I think the same appiled to the 20 series, same week delivery.
I do not believe for one second the price will be that high.
Just people trying to get cliks and views.
Perhaps the price is inlcuding "tarifs" for China...but not even in the EU the price will be that high, agree.There's no way in hell Nvidia will price the 5090 at $3300

Cause it's not a consumer market price. No reason to launch anything as a Geforce at this price point.

Considering previous prices of some cards as well as the inflated prices people have been paying for years now, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility. People were willing to pay well over 2k for a 4090 and people in this very thread are willing to pay the rumored $3300.

$3300 is literally impossible as MSRP. If they do that, I will buy AMD and never look back. I will not buy any more Nvidia products, regardless of how their products perform vs the competition, and regardless of what prices they have lower down the stack. That is literally "Fuck You PC gamers" type of money and a move which would signal an actual disdain of the market. If the product isn't for PC gamers, then don't label the product RTX 50 series and market it to gamers.

I’m not sure what that tracks, but in USA at least, there were lots of listings for MSRP cards that may as well have been dummy listings as they were never in stock. The only cards you could typically buy were often 50% over MSRP.
That should be US prices.
In Denmark you have to factor in the 25% VAT (Neglecting) import taxes:
I got mine at launch for 15.500 DKK
15.500 / 125 x 100 = 12.400 ~ $1730 and that price has been really steady in Denmark as this chart shows.
I can most likely sell my 4090 for 9.000 DKK (~$1255) when I sell it (listings goes for 10.000-11.000 DKK atm), that has to be deducted from the price I will pay for the 5090.
I find it funny that GPU's should be cheaper in Denmark with 25% VAT and stuff that in the US, unless something is really effed up in the US system.
Isn’t that more reason to set MSRP higher? When a 4090 sells for $2400 Nvidia doesn’t see a cent of that markup at retail.
Which is why I don’t think $3300 is impossible. First 512 bit bus by Nvidia since Fermi if I’m not mistaken. 1.7 TB of bandwidth. It really isn’t difficult to imagine an exorbitant price.
