Lock printer into 'fast' quality mode?

Hey guys...

We've got a Canon IP4300 printer here in the office that Salespeople typically print to, and I was wondering if there was any way to simply force the printer to only ever print at a maximum quality level of 'Fast'. No standard, no high, just 'Fast'..? We've got a new Laser printer and networkable colour photocopier on the books, but we wont see these for a couple of months yet, and i'm starting to get awfully pissed off from having to constantly tell these idiots to set their printing quality to Fast (they insist on printing fullpage colour documents that are 15+ pages long, in Standard quality... these documents use incredibly shit quality images and such as their base, and as a result, printing in fast, standard or high shows absolutely no difference at all. But they still insist on printing in Standard). Changing ink every couple of days is getting on my nerves...they even complain about the longer printing times (hello? You're doing Standard you stupid old mole). Anger!

So that's basically it... Just need some way to lock the printer to a maximum quality of 'Fast'. If I could do that, i'd be extremely happy (and grateful!)

Oh, nice, i'll give that a try now. I was actually fiddling around with the security settings earlier but couldn't seem to find what I wanted, will certainly try again... Thanks.

*edit* So i've basically gone and forced everyones permissions (everyone = every user bar those local to this PC) to allow for 'Print' only, with this printer set to Fast quality beforehand. I notice that on all other systems I can still select all the various quality modes... I was thinking that perhaps regardless of what mode I select higher than Fast, it'll probably still force it into Fast regardless? I tried a test print on a photo set to Standard from another PC here and i'm fairly sure it's still doing Standard.. Going to try some other documents, but we'll see.
