I probably shouldn't post this but for a high school report we had to interview one of our grandparents and ask what they did socially as teenagers back 'in their day'. So I'm talking to my paternal grandmother about it and she's telling me about how a date would pick her up in a horse-pulled wagon or buggy and they'd go in town to a dance or just drive around. This sounded incredibly boring to my, the proud owner of a '74 Camaro who tooled around to it blaring Jessie's Girl in the summer of '81, so I stressed the question, "But what did you do for fun?!" She looked at me and said, "What do you think? Skirts went up back then just as easily as they do now!"
