At one point I had an Ultra64 emulator with the original KI ROM (like 140 megs).
What are you talking about? N64 KI2 was 32MB ROM at most, if that much even. 140 meg sounds more like the arcade version, and much of that, if not most, are movies and not actual game gfx data...

KI2 was cooler than KI (though I missed Riptor...), but the lack of the combo announcement voices sucked! I believe that feature was dropped just so the reviewers wouldn't bitch about the feature not being present on the N64!

Notice I said Ultra64, not Nintendo64, so yes - I was talking about the Arcade ROM set!

And KI2 sucked :p
I prefer the controls of KI2/Gold to KI, and everything just felt more polished. What I'd really hope for in a sequel is the sense of dark atmosphere that was so well conveyed in the first game. The announcer's voice and music played a big part in all of that.

I have that Ultra 64 emulator and both KI and KI2 ROMs. It's great being able to play them perfectly at home. Just wish the videos could be automatically run at normal speed.

Just use MAME and have a decently fast x86 CPU. MAME actually runs the original game code and sound code, whereas U64emu HLE's alot of the gameplay code and all of the sound code. MAME has proper speed for all of the videos, and doesn't crash on some fatalities.

A sequal to Kameo? Is that like the Duke Nukem Forever sequal we'll be seeing soon? :D

I would think since the game is completed and will be coming out on the x360 making a sequal with the same engine shouldn't take that long. As this suggests it depends on the sales of the title

Oh come on guys, even bloody Mortal Kombat went back to be pretty decent after a few embarrassingly bad episodes, there's always hope :D

Eh. MK looks decent and moves decent, but that doesn't make it a good fighting game. (See "Bloody Roar") That's kinda what I'd assume Rare ends up with unless they spend some real time and attention to it... and pull some outside help. ;) There are very few people who know to build solid fighters, and even they screw up on occasion as well. It's not an easy genre to randomly step back into.
