Someone seems to have been going somewhere in an awful hurry... 
It may seem insensitive and perhaps even macabre to attaching smilies to such an awful accident, but when people are so irresponsible as to drive far beyond their ability, well then they deserve all that comes to them.
That image reminds me of that PAM-equipped chevy urban legend I read once long ago on darwinawards... What car was that anyway? Not much left to identify it from.

What car was that anyway? Not much left to identify it from.It is/was a Ford Escort.
What bugs me is the light reflection of the car. It seems too bright compared to other objects around (people and the tree), which are pale.

Well the car IS laquered after all so it would be shiny. It seems to reflect the sky properly and overall light on it and the people also seems to fit the image as a whole. If it's a chop, it's damn well done. Look at the missing bark on the tree for example, most wouldn't think of adding such little details.
I don't doubt that it's real.
The reflections looks right for a wet car. And as you can see in that and the other images, everything else is wet as well (rainy day).

It would have surely killed him if he was as the I beam which holds the seatbelt is on the back part of the car stuck in the tree about 50' away from the seat.
