I Just Saw My Cat Get Run over.

see thats why i don't buy cats .

Well that and my face gets all messed up.

I would feel really bad trapping a cat in a house.

At least with a dog if you own a house you can fence in your back yard and he can run around and crap. The cat never leaves the house and well that just sucks

Actually my cat goes with me everywhere(in the car). I take him to work, I take him to the shop. I brought him to Botswana with me from South Africa.

Everyone says they haven't ever seen a cat like mine. He is so friendly and everyone likes him.

Phew, lucky cat.

Anyways. My cat once decided to jump out of my living room window... to my horror, since we live on second floor and under the window there's asphalt and like a 2.5-3 metre drop. (~9 feet)

Well... she had hurt one of her legs a bit... but after a week it was like nothing happened.

glad to hear about your cat .

I guess the car wasnt going that fast

Am I the only one that found this disturbing?

Glad your cat is healthy still. Didn't sound good after reading the threadtitle.
Tire marks on it's legs aren't a good sign though. A bone or something might be broken. Better bring the poor skitty to a doc to be sure it'S all fine.
@Mendrel: 3 metres aren't high for a cat. My neighbors cat is doing that all the time.

nah, vb, I think he meant that he was glad that the cat lived after being run over. but yes, I agree, the wording left something to be desired.

A friend of mine found a cat by the side of the road. It had been hit by a car and so he took it to the vet. The thing had a broken mandible (that never fully healed) and a swollen eye that had to be removed (they sewed the eye shut). My friend adopted it and it was the nicest cat I have ever met and eventually died a very old (and fat) cat.
