Bah its an rpg darn it :) I remember my nintendo power from when it came out that called it an adventure rpg :) old habits . I've been a nintendo power subscriber since i was 4 and it wasn't called nintendo power

No, it's always been Nintendo Power.

actually it hasn't . Before the issue with super mario 2 on the coverit was a 3 page news letter called nitnedo fun or something . I was about 4 at the time though so I'm not sure of the exact words . But it was not allways called nintendo power.

Btw i still have my silver wings they gave me when i renewed in 91 haha

It's an Adventure RPG. Definitely not a regular adventure game akin to King's Quest or Quest For Glory.

Well, due to its focus on action, rather than menu driven combat and stats and gross amounts of text, I'd say it is more of an action adventure game. Unfortunately, I also put Mario 64 and Shenmue into these genres, but with different amounts of different elements.

And jvd, yeah, I think I remember something about nintendo power being called the nintendo fun club, or something similar.

Yea i mean I was just a baby at that point. I was like 4 or 5. But i remember it a bit . I had just broken my arm and my parents got me a nintendo and they put me in the club . Then for like 3 months we didn't get anything and all of the sudden we got a nintendo power mag and it said blah blah blah is now nintendo power . And so it was

You were a baby? Back in 1988 I was 2 years old! Strangely, I still managed to follow nintendo power off and on all the way from their start till present day, though I used to go to the library to pick up the latest issue, but I had a subscription around the the 50s or 60s, and currently have one.(most likely the library kept the initial issues for several years, since I couldn't imagine myself reading nintendo power at 2, but maybe I did)

I was born in 81 . My memorys of i believe 87 was a bit nuts .Nintendo has my first subsription in 89 which i don't believe is right.

Well, I believe the first issue with the Nintendo Power name didn't come out until 1988, that or it was an issue for 1988 but was released earlier.(as magazines often do)

1. Cell patent being discovered

Biggest shocker of 2004 would most likely be real BB chip for PS3 actually matching capabilities of BB chip described in patent; 1Tflop + 64MB DRAM & 4MB SRAM on-chip.

Can't think of much else that can top that... Possibly, Microsoft going bankrupt or some such.

No, I meant like if it was a January 1988 issue, it would be released in December 1987.
