I kinda have an idea floating in my head. I just want to know whether its any good or not for a lowish cost all round pc that won't require so much technical assistance. She is a writer so im thinking of including raid 1 or maybe theres some better option to set up?
Slowest AMD dual core I think its 4000+
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H AMD 780G MicroATX board
2X160gb seagate HDD (Instant no hassle backup???!?!)
2-4gb ram (Fewer calls about all the bloatware is fine by ME)
Vista 64 - She is security inept, accidently visits random sites on her quest for flower pictures and teddy pictures. If im not there... I can't make sure the security programs running etc? What do you think?
MicroATX/ATX case+Quiet 300W PSU
HD3450 graphics, probably not needed but I think it'll help to round it all out. Im also considering the possibility that they would migrate the machine to HTPC duties in 2-3 years.
So how does this look?
Are they enough? Too much? I considered Linux but she can sortof do most things in windows. Enough that I can walk her through over the phone.I Did consider Intel, but I never look at low end so I honestly don't know!
