OMFG!#$! The game sounds amazing! Pages 10-11 talk about bumpmapping and how godly it can make games look, with minimal to zero hit on Xbox! :oops:

Mulitplayer sounds like a blast. I wished that it can support co-op online during main quest, too bad that is not the case.:( Imagine co-oping up with Marines and takng on armies of Convents!

If Bungie can give me super large scale gaming for every levels in Halo 2, :oops: :oops: :oops: Or better still, have the whole game do a MP and have one whole connected world! :oops: :oops: :oops: USe the XBox HDD Bungie! Use it WELL!

With the framerates that splitscreen co-op Halo could get down to, I can understand why there's none in Halo2. Stencil shadows > GeForce4 class hardware.
 
I think he said thirteen in some other thread... Might have been a joke, though if it was he could have fooled me. :D

Anyway as for no co-op, ever heard of link cables? Or they could have cut down on the resolution or dropped the stencil shadows entirely, they're not neccessary for the per-pixel lighting anyway.

Co-op gameplay totally rocks, I played the old Hexen and Heretic games in co-op and it was tremendous fun. Can't understand why the softcos seems to have forgotten all about it these days! Hope Dukem Forever has co-op, or one might wonder wtf it took them six years to get the bloody game out the door... ;)

Heh, Grall, agreed that Hexen makes a great co-op game, espeically considering how incredibly confusing the game can get :) Two heads solve puzzles (on average) faster than one!
 
Well, seeing as co-op was one of Halo 1's biggest selling (and funfactor points), I really, REALLY hope they find a way to fit it in.
 
I personally think the game will be much better than Doom 3, I have NO faith in ID making a good game, just another amazing Engine, with same old gameplay.

Halo 2 on the other hand I think will exceed the first one, the first had quite a few gripes, mainly with level design, if this is addressed this time around..look out.

I agree, I'm not expecting Doom 3 to be a great FPS just a great engine like Q3. I think Halo 2 looks like it'll be the best straight fps around, certainly the best console fps. Although I am hopefull of Factor 5 coming out with something a little bit special in the fps genre.
