This was discuessed a while back as something that exposes all the float buffers R300 is capable of I believe, kinda a hold over until full OpenGL2.0 comes. I'm not sure if this will be able to access the F-Buffer or not.
Don't uber buffers let you do something like rendering to a vertex buffer, use a renderable texture as a vertex buffer somehow? I'm not sure where I got this notion from, but it would be very useful if I was right.
