Just looking at that picture of all the cards with their heatsinks removed I was struck by just how big the GPUs look on them cards! 
Not meant as a good thing or a bad thing, but it's definately a thing that jumped out at me!
The GT is looking real interesting, I might actually be getting an nVidia card again! (After I get an R420, of course. )

I don't recall seeing a X800P losing to a 6800 in vertex shading power (X800P beats a 6800U here and here), particularly since (IIRC) it has the full six vertex shaders. Also, I haven't seen a X800P beat a 6800 in 3DM03's PS test, either. Odd results.

Also, they used 61.12 drivers, and most reviews have used 60.72 (or around that number) or 61.11. And they used Catalyst 4.5 but it doesn't say if it was the beta or not. Do the "official" Catalyst 4.5's work with the X800's?

Catalyst 4.4 dont work with X800. I know, had a lot of trouble running X800 that I got without drivers.
4.5 are first official version that adds support for R420 core.
