Gamespot is promising to do 150k streams of the Sony and Nintendo conferences live and the MS conference by tape delay.

In previous years, they made you at least register for a free account to get the streams. Of course the streams were crap.

Now they're promising 720p downloads to subscribers. Hopefully someone puts up torrents of those.

TechTV Attack of the Show starts coverage at 6 PM EST on May 9th. So no live coverage of the conference but probably shown on Tuesday.

Gearing up indeed:

Now maybe someone will get onto the show floor and find out what's in those boxes ;)

Oh, small note also, but SCEA has redesigned their homepage:

http://www.us.playstation.com/

Includes a link now to their PS3 section, but there's just a (hyperbolic) teaser there for now. Also, SCEE has it's own Playstation E3 site here, that's still mostly under construction, but has a couple of articles:

I like that typography, that font should of been the ps3 font on the console imo. And I agree, "Play Beyond" is much better than "Welcome Chang3".

Took time, but now they know where it's at

Glad to see Sony admiting that Beyond3D is a force to reckon with.

Sony and Nintendo press conferences will be Live and FREE on http://www.gamespot.com/news/6149047.html, MS conference will be there too with one hour delay.

The Big Three Press Conferences: GameSpot is pleased to announce that we will be presenting live streaming broadcasts of the Sony press conference as well as the Nintendo press conference next week, free to all users, with higher-quality video exclusive to GameSpot subscribers. Microsoft's press conference will be broadcast to subscribers after an hour-long tape delay. To receive e-mail reminders about each of the respective conferences, click on the "Remind Me" buttons on the GameSpot home page or the E3 monster coverage center.

The "Play Beyond" ads are more typical of a soft drinks campaign than a games console. Saying that though the only decent ad Microsoft came up with was the one that got banned (the finger gun shootout)

Yes. The same pic is undoctored in an earlier post.

I like the campaign. There's some subtle ideas there, and quite eye-catching images. I still don't know what Welcome Chang3 was all about. What's changed since E3 '05? :???:
