sorry if someone else posted this already. some footage from ign. ign site is getting hit pretty hard. use a download program like getright because you will more than not have to resume.

Resident Evil 4:

Part1 is Mikami, Part 2 is footage. Leon's character model is...disgustingly good, impressive lighting to boot (corridor with the rain, flashlight, the lightning, you know your basic scary movie environment).

Metroid Prime2 tease:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_metroidprime2.mov

too short (damn you Nintendo), watch Samus get man handled. Come on girl you can take that slimy thing. Beam laser to the crotch!

F-ZeroGX:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_fzerogx.mov.mov

insanely fast. *warning* high pitch static from sound on this video

Mario Kart Double Dash:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_mariokart.mov

insanely cute, it put a smile on my face. Wow, you can switch between who is driving and who is fighting on the fly, I did not know that. *warning* high pitch static from sound on this video also

StarFox2:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_starfox2gcn.mov

Nintendo's new StarFox title, err *warning* high pitched static on the sound here also.

StarFox 2 is for GBA now; originally for SNES but never released. Completed, but never released...

Added: Something's very wrong with the SF2 video... hmm...

Good Miyamoto the R4 footage looks incredible. I can't tell realtime footage from fmv. Metroid Prime 2 is too short but already can tell that Retro has reworked Samus' suit..nice! Mariokart looks very nice. This one's already near the top of my most wanted list.

Goldni-

Resident Evil 4 looks too good. In the words of Mikami, "Don't pee your pants." RE4 all in realtime, and in the first video Mikami reconfirms that its GC exclusive and ign has gone into further details about the real-time graphics with Nintendo expecting a Q1 2004 release:

http://cube.ign.com/articles/402/402323p1.html

Real-time lighting effects appear just as beautifully realistic as before, except now we see shadows wrapping around characters and objects in every direction as the camera pans and zooms through the environments. Character models are even more detailed than ever before, with breathtaking details such as hair and skin rendered deceptively well. The 3D environments show off awesome reflective surfaces, such as a mirror at the head of a dimly lit hallway that reflects our hero's flashlight in all directions as he sneaks toward the evil that awaits. If you enjoyed camping out in your living room on a spooky Friday night and playing the first RE on GameCube until the sun came up, then RE4 is your new reason for owning the system.

Didn't they drop the Armada moniker though. Should have known it was Namco with that CG intro. I think it is confirmed by Nintendo that StarFox2 is the official name and a direct follow up to SFA since Crystal is now part of the crew.

worth adding:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_ffcc.mov

Wait until you see the ship on the water at the end. Nice!

Billy Hatcher:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_billyhatcher.mov

Holy Crap! I was not expecting this game to look this good. The water and lava effects look like they were pulled out of Mario Sunshine. On top of that the draw distance is huge. Sonic Team delivers.

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/twinsnakestrailer_051303_gcn_final.mov

This movie is filmed way too darkly, you can't make out anything. Constant subliminal messages with the NGC acronyms.

Pikmin2:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_pikmin2.mov

More pikmin

1080 Avalanche:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_1080aval.mov

Noticably cleaned up since its last showing. Aliasing finally under control and you gotta love the ripple effect on the clothing.

Geist:

http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/noaconf_051303_geist.mov

Nintendo just announced they have bought this developer (n-Space). This is a FPS for GameCube.

Me want.

Gawd, in between Nintendo's and Microsoft's booths my wallet is practically already emptied from pre-orders alone.

They can't name the GCN StarFox 'StarFox 2'; they confirmed some time ago that they'll more than likely be bringing the real SF2 to GBA.

Oh, and DAMN. The SF-GC, FZGX, and MP2 teasers are awesome. o.o

And I downloaded the RE4 one... but didn't have time to watch it last night. I will tonight, though...

what if some poor mortals dont have the insider thing?

You don't have to be an insider. If you can't view them then that just means you've just used up your 5 pics/videos per day limit. To bypass that delete your IGN cookie after each 5 pics/videos viewed.

Is there any good enthusiast GC & PS2 sites with good E3 coverage? Gamespot costs money, IGN costs money and Gamespy sucks proverbial buttocks.

Any help appreciated, thank you.

Proverbial?

Just trying to be PC here Tag, but if you think Gamespy sucks unproverbial buttocks it is okay with me if you see it that way! :D

Okay, now, do you know of any nice Gamecube (or PS2) fansites with E3 coverage, or have they all curled up and died?

(Darn it, I still miss Cap'n Scott's N64 page! Those were the days, when we drooled over leaked specs like 500 MIPS Reality CoProcessor, 500MHz RDRAM, etc etc...)

If you are talking about sites like Cap'n Scott's N64 page, then I can point you to some of my favorites for Nintendo coverage:

http://www.planetgamecube.com/

I would go so far as to call this the best Nintendo only site on the net, except for the godawful pop-ups (a necessary evil in order so people don't have to pay to view the site). Billy Berghammer use to be such a great figure in the world of Nintendo fandom. The site sold CDs and eventually DVDs of everything from Spaceworld coverage to E3s. The best being the coverage for Japan's GameCube launch as Billy took you through the streets of Japan's infamous Akihabara district, to Spaceworld, to him and a few really die-hard gamers waiting, overnight, in line to get their GameCubes. It was about 7 hours of coverage across 2 CDs. Their E3 DVD from last year was pretty awesome too, about 4-5 hours. It was great to see Zelda, Mario and Metroid in action, plus Nintendo's press conference with RE Zero debut and the developers/producers from Nintendo, Namco, Sega and Capcom playing 4 player Zelda. It really helped to ease the wait. I can't wait for this year's E3 2003 DVD. Then their is the acutal sites coverage, plus the tours he has been on in NOA and even an Xbox Live tour as MS tried to court him about the benefits of Xbox. Even the Seamus Blackley interview (father of the Xbox) is quite informative. And if you love Penny Arcade, his interview with the personalities behind Gabe and Tycho was great (interviews available for download in mp3 format, check Specials link). Thats really what I loved about the site. It wasn't just a fanboi site. Billy was really a gamer and respected the PS2 and Xbox because above all else, he is a gamer first. Its just he was so true to Nintendo it was always amazing to watch him in action. Unfortunately, Billy just retired from the site and now works for Game Informer. The site will never be the same but the spirit of Billy Berghammer will live on through it.

Another site I visit frequently is:

http://www.n-philes.com/

pretty solid for news postings and no damn pop-ups.

and the site I can absolutely not live without, The Magic Box, pretty much every Japanese game announcement will be listed there as well as news from pretty much both the N.America and European regions:

http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm

http://www.the-magicbox.com/index.html

OK after dloading almost every movie so far I'm gonn say something that might get me in some debate...RE4 > Doom3. There I said it. I'm just dumbfounded that this is Cube running this thing and not some next gen machine. The visuals are just sick. And the environments are amazingly detailed for 3D. Can't wait.
