the fps game shot looks good for a handheld, why does the racing game look so much worse.
The feature list looks good. I like the integrated GPS function, even though I don't know what I'd do with it :?

Well, it is a port of StuntCar Extreme, which is available for the tapwave zodiac, which might partially explain it. Although, I think that's about the most unflattering picture they had listed. Here's one that's slightly better:

Some bilinear filtering would sure help, though.

And the system itself, (I must say I kinda like this design):

Why can't nintendo design something like this? Seriously, this so completely whups up on the looks of the SP. If there's a significant amount of games that come out for this, I might consider getting it.

Also, according to this:

The gametrac should be shipping with 64 MB of Ram, as well as a custom graphics chipset, (doesn't specify if it has any sort of 3D capabilities, or if this is all being done in sw), and will be able to ship movies on 512 mb flash cards, (wouldn't that be mighty expensive, though? Perhaps they're going to allow you to download the movies onto a 512 mb disk, and then save it to your PC HD, so you can upload/download, different ones onto the same disc later). Given the ram and processor speed, though, I would expect to see even more impressive stuff than what's in these screenshots.

I wasn't able to find any reference to battery length when searching their site, except a little snippet that says "removable battery". Looks like we'll have to wait until summer, (in the UK), and fall (everywhere else), to get any real idea of what this thing is capable of, however.

God another one without a 3D chip, more capital down the fucking drain on shoddy hardware.

 I wonder why they even bother... Now mobile freaking phones will have Nvidia 3D chips on them, what's the point of this thing?

It says it has a "64 bit graphics system" as well as "3D Engine Support". Those might be two different things, with the "3D Engine" being done in software. It's hard to tell right now, though. If it does have a 3D chip, then that chip is seriously short on features.

Fathammer makes mention of the use of OpenGL® ES in their software. Is that software OpenGL? Is it possible for it to be hardware accelerated?

More:

I think the silver version was just for early showoffs, an other picture, looks like rendered:

Gametrac boasts an ARM9 400Mhz processor with a 64-bit graphics accelerator so it has no shortage of grunt. It is constantly linked with a GPRS connection, allowing wide-area network gaming.

Then there’s the concept of gaming using the GPS functionality. Currently in development are some of the most exciting, innovative and interactive games the gaming industry has ever seen. As well as new gaming functionality, the GPS system can also utilise current location based services, allowing users to locate the nearest Starbucks or ATM, for example.

High quality multi-level games can be easily installed through an MMC/SD card and, unlike other mobile gaming devices, Gametrac puts you in total control with an eight way D-Pad, left and right triggers and four face buttons. Gametrac also offers consumers wireless multi-player gaming using Bluetooth 2 and GPRS.

If it can do GPRS, why can't it do voice phoning? That's like, stupid IMO to stick in a mobile phone but leave out the mic and speaker...

Also, considering all screens shown so far have lacked texture filtering, I think it's safe to say it's a software 3D renderer.

I thought some of the bitboys or ATI mobile chips only did point sampling. I could be wrong though.

Clash,

That pic you show is of a larger-than-pocket-size piece of hardware, unlike the GBA SP. Wether it looks 'slick' or not doesn't really matter if you actually need a bag to carry it around! ;)
